- B-Bear’s first experience with an oak tree
B-Bear is an American Black bear who came to us in 2006. He had been kept in a 10′ X 10′ chain link cage in someone’s yard for over 7 years. After living in filth, often with little water to drink, he was being rescued by a group who contacted us to provide him with lifetime care.
His claws had been previously removed, his canines were fractured from years of chewing on the wire, but he was in otherwise good health.
We drove our rescue rig to Iowa to pick him up and arrived just in time; he had to be moved out of his temporary holding area quickly or he would have been destroyed.
B-Bear is now living on over an acre of wooded land with huge oak trees, swimming pools and dens. He shares his new home with three other black bears, Molly, Dolly and Elizabeth Rose
