CBSG is funded by annual
voluntary donations from more than 150 institutions and
individuals worldwide. Support for individual projects comes
from conservation organizations, private foundations, zoos,
aquariums and regional zoo associations, corporations and
wildlife agencies.
CBSG is a catalyst and
coordinator for intensive management of threatened small
populations. CBSG has more than 800 members from 70 nations
around the world and serves as a neutral but dynamic
stimulus as well as coordinating agency for individuals and
organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, which
work with wildlife in any capacity.
As a CBSG member we will
have access to CBSG tools and principles allowing us to
strengthen our species expertise and help establish a
regional conservation identity. Our membership ties in with
our firm beliefs conservation in the wild of the species of
animals we have rescued at our facility is key to the future
of the natural world. Ideally, it is our view that
sanctuaries such as ours will not exist, instead. wild
animals will be able to roam free in their native
environment due to extensive focus of conservation and
species survival.
