You are cordially invited to the Peace
River Refuge and Ranch for an intimate afternoon with Founders Kurt & Lisa
Stoner and special guest Jill Robinson, Founder and CEO of Animals Asia
Foundation.
Peace River Refuge & Ranch, an exotic
animal sanctuary, is dedicated to providing quality lifetime care to abused,
neglected or confiscated wild animals that cannot be released into the wild.
These animals are lucky enough to have made it to paradise, but others
around the world are not so fortunate...
You may have heard of the horrific
practice of bear bile farming, where Moon Bears are imprisoned in
coffin-like cages and painfully milked for their bile, which is used in
traditional medicine.
Over 11,000 bears exist under such
conditions in China and Vietnam, some for up to 20 years. Animals Asia
Foundation is working with local governments to rescue these highly
endangered animals and to promote the use of herbal and synthetic
alternatives to bear bile.
Please join us at the Peace River
Refuge & Ranch for this compelling account of the Moon Bear’s struggle for
freedom and hear Jill's account of individual bears who made it to paradise.
